Former MONKEE front man and radio personality MICKY DOLENZ has announced that he will re-group with fellow MONKEES MICHAEL NESMITH and PETER TORK for a series of shows in NOVEMBER. The band will be without DAVY JONES, who passed earlier this year (NET NEWS 2/29).

DOLENZ will also make a rare NEW YORK CITY appearance at B.B. KING’s on FRIDAY (OCTOBER 19th). The show will be recorded for a live album to be released later this year and a solo album entitled “Remember” schedule for release on SEPTEMBER 25th.

And be sure to look for MICKY DOLENZ in a series of performances of “HAIRSPRAY” where he will play the role of WILBUR TURNBLAD. The event marks the 25th anniversary of the original film.

DOLENZ commented, “I love B.B. KINGS! It’s an incredible place to play and I can’t wait to record my live album at this legendary venue.”

That’s cool that he’s doing a live album! I saw him during the Happy Together Tour and he was so amazing still! I was so sad when he left the stage! :'( Come baaack! Oh well I’ll see him with Mike and Peter in November! 🙂
