The Monkees and Jimi Hendrix Photo

Micky Dolenz just posted on his Facebook page a photo of the Monkees hanging out with Jimi Hendrix during the 1967 Monkees tour where Hendrix was the opening act for the first half of the tour. In the photo also are members of the Sundowners, the other opening act the tour and the backing band for the Monkees’ solo numbers during the concerts.

    July 14, 1967 I saw the Monkees with Hendrix opening for them at Forest Hills. I’ll never forget that.
