If you’re old enough to be nostalgic for the revolutionary spirit that inspired Comfest, you’re old enough to remember the Monkees.

Of course, it’s possible the quartet was too commercial for your sensibilities, being invented by network television to cash in on the Beatles era. But you have to admit some of their music wasn’t half bad.

Three members of the original foursome will be at the Lifestyle Communities Pavilion Friday night for An Evening With the Monkees-The 45th Anniversary Tour. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the outdoor show are $40 in advance, $42 on Friday. (VIP tickets, which include a meet-and-greet with the band, are sold out. Sorry!)
