Viva Las Davy!

Apparently, the Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas may put Davy Jones in a
show on the Las Vegas Strip!

Paris plan

One of the entertainment options being considered by Paris Las Vegas as a
replacement for “Notre Dame de Paris” is the musical comedy “Mystery of
Edwin Drood.” Dan Florio, co-producer of the show that won six Tonys in
four seasons on Broadway, said the presentation has been made and rests in
the hands of the powers-that-be.
Florio said Raquel Welch and the Monkees’ Davy Jones are tentatively lined
up to play the leads. The murder mystery would include a revolutionary
touch: pari-mutuel betting on the outcome. Each show would have a different
ending, allowing showgoers to wager on the killer du jour. Another
possibility, according to rumblings, is a French revue.

I just wanted to share the news that the latest issue of People Magazine (the
November 6, 2000 issue) features an article on rock musician Peter Frampton.
In the article he compares his role in the film Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts
Club Band to the guys television series in a negative way. The article begins
on page 140 and continues through page 143.
Thank you,
