Hi Brad

Just finished watching the 2nd TV appearance of the day with Micky and
David in London.

For the first show, “This Morning”,
Micky wore dark pants, grey/brown top and black leather jacket, David had
grey & black sweater and grey pants. Micky’s hair is short and he’s
looking very well. David has let the grey through on his hair and is very
dashing!

They spoke about past TV experiences (footage of David on Coronation St was
shown), Micky’s directorial career, things like that. Ended with promoting
the UK tour.

The 2nd appearance was on Open House in the afternoon. The show was
compered by Jane Asher, who David appeared with in Peter Pan back when he
was 15. They spoke about that, David plugged the support act for the tour
“Murmurs of Irma”, and there was also a phone-in where fans were asking
them questions about the average age of their fans, if David still visited
Manchester, Micky’s voice-overs for Scooby-Doo and things like that. Again
they plugged their UK tour.

In both shows the guys came across as very relaxed and happy, and looking
forward to playing for the UK fans.

The Los Angeles Daily News had a one-page article about songwriter-singer
Michael Martin Murphey for his upcoming concert in Long Beach. It reads in
part, “he…had an impressive resume as frontman on the ’60’s country-rock
group the Lewis & Clarke Expedition and songwriter of such tunes as “What
Am I Doin’ Hangin’ Around” for the Monkees. Many of his other songs were
cut by the likes of Flatt & Scruggs, Kenny Rogers and Bobbie Gentry.”

This item was printed in the LA Times on Dec. 23 – sorry it’s taken
so long to send it out to ya’ll, thought you’d get a kick out of it:

Hey, Hey, a Monkee is Moving (extra points there for originality)

Micky Dolenz of the Monkees, who appeared last week on the “Drew
Carey Show” and has been touring this year as part of the 60’s pop
group, has purchased a West Valley home for just under $1 million.

Dolenz also put his former home, in Sherman Oaks, on the market
at $625,000.

His new home is on an equestrian property in a guard-gated community.
It has four bedrooms in about 3,000 square feet.

Built in 1985, the Spanish Mediterranean-style home is on more than
an acre and has valley views and a pool with a spa.

The home he is selling has four bedrooms in about 2,200 Square feet.
The 1950 house, behind gates, has a fireplace and decks with a spa
and city views.

Dolenz, 56, has lived in the Sherman Oaks home since about 1992.
He was one of four young men who beat out more than 400 in a general
audition to become the American answer to the Beatles on the NBC sitcom
“The Monkees,” which ran for two seasons in the late 60’s.

The TV show won an Emmy for outstanding comedy series in 1967. The
Monkees went on to star in the feature film “Head” (1969) and released
a number of albums with such hit songs as “Daydream Believer”, “LTTC”,
and “I’m a Believer” before disbanding in the early 70’s.

Dolenz, singer-drummer of the Monkees, became a director, producer, and
screenwriter but reunited during the 80’s with Davy Jones and Peter Tork,
two other original band members. Before this year’s tour, the three went
on tour in 86, 87, 89, 96, and 97. The group plans to tour England in
the spring and the US in the summer.

Dolenz is also known for doing voices for animated films, and he was in
“The Brady Bunch Movie” in 1995.

******************

The article then lists the agents making the sale, so if anyone’s
interested in buying his house, let me know & I’ll send out the
names. So there ya go. :>

‘Nuff said
