I only check out Contact Music when I have an alert containing their link a=

then I take 99.9% of it with a grain of salt. But I thought I would
pass this on
anyway. Sometimes they do get things right.

Yep, that’s right. Nez posted about it on Facebook not too long ago.
Seems his friend really wanted Nez to marry them so he got Nez ordained
online.

Hi .. I live in Australia and was lucky enough to buy lunch with Micky
Dolenz on Ebay ( part proceeds went to charity ) and had a one on one
lunch with him in October last year …

We flew all the way from Adelaide , South Australia to Hollywood just
to have lunch with him … As a second generation fan , I was born in
1963 I always enjoyed the show and music with Micky being my Favorite
and have been collecting Monkees memrobillia for a long time now …
Me and my wife have never been out of Australia before and couldn’t
wait …

Micky was outstanding to the point of picking us up from our hotel in
his car ( nice BMW ) , then taking us out to lunch at the Ivy Inn in
Beverly Hills , We spent over 3 hours with him and found him to be
very very down to earth and very easy going and very cool !! also got
some great pictures of us together with him …

I had wrote a bunch of questions and he was happy to answer in depth
But my wife asked the best question of the day … She asked Micky
about the poncho he lived in in the 2nd series and told us the story
when he was with his first wife Samantha he saw this table cloth that
he really liked and she brought it for him cut a hole in the middle
stitched around it and gave it to him and he loved it and lived in it
!!!

He also commented on my collection saying it was more than impressive
and he remebers signing it for me well ( Ebay again ! )… So I was
pretty proud for my favorite Monkee to say he was impressed and
remembering it ….

Micky was in no hurry and we all had a great time then he drove us
back to our hotel and also gave me lots of goodies inc signed
drumsticks cds personal messages on his pictures and more ……. It
really seemed like Micky enjoyed spending time with a fan , It was
the best 3 hours any Monkee fan could have and was defnitly worth the
trip halfway around the world ..

Everything is crossed that they will make it to Australia as part of
the new tour… 1987 was the last time The Monkees were here !

* P.S *

If any Monkees fan would like to see my large collection that even
Micky liked , then please click the link below and remeber , this is
from an Australian fan in Australia , not the USA !!

Cheers from Down Under … Eric ( Ozmonkeeman )
