Monkees on AMC

AMC (American Movie Classics) is presenting Rockstock hosted by Roger
Daltrey. Check out their original movie “Hollywood Rocks the Movies: The
Early Years” narrated by Ringo Starr. The Monkees are featured in two
segments of the movie. One segment focuses on the TV show where “The
Theme from The Monkees” can be heard in the background. The second
segment looks at “Head” and features “Porpoise Song.” Both segments
present mini-interviews with Micky Dolenz. Be on the lookout throughout
the rest of the movie following those segments for brief flashes of The
Monkees, including a glimpse of Micky at the Monterey Pop Festival!

The movie is very positive in its take on the contribution of the Monkees
to music on TV and in the movies. The next show time is at 11PM Eastern
on July 3rd.
