Pool It Deluxe Edition – The Monkees Greatest Hits 1969

Greetings Monkees Fans!

A couple of us in the L.A. area were very fortunate to see the great Mike
Nesmith play a very rare set at the Largo Theatre with The Watkins Family
Hour, featuring my old friend label mate Benmont Tench from Tom Petty & The
Heartbreakers.  Papa Nez opened with Little Red Rider, then a brilliant
version of Thanx For The Ride, as well stellar choices Joanne, Some Of
Shelly’s Blues and Different Drum.  Truly a Mike Nesmith Greatest Hits if
you will, and it was smokin’!   There was a really highly charged and
appreciative audience in attendance.   One of the more interesting evenings
as our good friend and fellow Monkee Micky Dolenz was seen in the audience
diggin’ the show as well. What a great evening.

The Monkees Pool It!/ The Deluxe Edition will be a REALITY this
fall…..Stay tuned on street dates…..it will have a couple of bonus
tracks, plus an added DVD of the Heart & Soul home video from 1987 on Rhino.
It sounds great to hear songs like Midnight, Don’t Bring Me Down and Every
Step Of The Way once again.  This CD and especially the home video have been
out of print for awhile and we are very fortunate and pleased to be able to
offer this to the fans once again.

David Jones/ The Deluxe Edition will be out in a few weeks, and I think Brad
will be announcing a way to win it before you can buy it as we did recently
with our first couple of Monkees cd release…..It looks and sounds
fantastic.

VINYL:  THE MONKEES GREATEST HITS, yes the Colgems 1969
classic…….well…..stay tuned……The first in our 180 Gram Audiophile
Series on this amazing band.

Kind Regards,

JR
