A member of a late 1960s hit-making pop band says he has moved his upcoming concert at Musikfest Café at SteelStacks because it was too close to his group’s show at Sands Bethlehem Event Center.

Micky DolenzMicky Dolenz, who was the drummer and one of the lead singers in the iconic group The Monkees, has moved his concert at Musikfest Café, originally scheduled for July 31, has been moved because it came too soon after The Monkees play Sands Bethlehem Event Center on May 27.

Dolenz’s show now will be Dec. 12, and will be “Micky’s Monkees Christmas Show,” a concert with Monkees hits, Christmas classics and “an intimate” question-and-answer session during the show, according to information on Musikfest Café’s website at www.artsquest.org.

Tickets to the new date remain $47 and $57 at www.artsquest.org or 610-332-3378.

“I think we may be moving that date to another time period because of maybe the proximity or something,” Dolenz said in a recent telephone interview. “My agent mentioned something to me last week. But I’ll definitely be doing the date.”

The Monkees show at the even center will feature Dolenz, Peter Tork and Michael Nesmith in the group’s third tour since reuniting after the death of fellow Monkee Davy Jones in February 2012.

Tickets to that show, at $58 to $94.50, also remain available atwww.ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.
