Ocean City welcomes 2012 with First Night, First Day celebrations

OCEAN CITY – First Night, now in its 20th year here, will take revelers from 2011 to 2012 in style with nonstop entertainment for kids, grown-ups and the young at heart.

This year’s lineup includes Peter Tork of the Monkees with his band, Shoe Suede Blues; the kid-friendly folk-rock duo Trout Fishing in America; the Hegeman String Band of Philadelphia with music of the mummers; the Fabulous Grease Band; performances of “Annie” and “School House Rock”; the revue “Broadway by Request”; along with magic, juggling, fine and casual dining, storytelling, comedy, interactive animal programs, game shows, and a host of other activities.
