MONTVILLE — The Fonz can’t make it to the 16th annual Wild Hot Rod Party at 65 River Road today, but there will be a Monkee to replace him.

Peter Tork of “The Monkees” TV show fame will join Butch Patrick, who played Eddie on “The Munsters,” in signing autographs when classic car buffs of all stripes converge on the Hot Rod Farm beginning at noon to show off their wheels.

Henry Winkler, the Fonz on “Happy Days,” was to attend but canceled because of a medical issue, event coordinator Mario Colasuonno said.

Proceeds will benefit Vanessa Morales, 4, who is battling lung and liver cancer.

The show, sponsored by the Dead Man’s Curve Custom Machines Car Club, will feature the Razorbacks and Young Rascals bands, and food will be available.

Because Route 287 North is closed in Boonton after a roadway collapse, Colasuonno said signs will be installed to direct attendees on alternate routes.
