Monkees’ Micky Dolenz Adds Rare Behind The Scenes Experience to St. Charles dolenz_hatShow

Here he comes, walkin’ down the street…Main Street in St. Charles, Illinois that is!  Drummin’ Monkee, Micky Dolenz will perform his smash-solo show at the historic Arcada Theatre on May 2, with a rare twist.  After a musical blast from the past with timeless hits including “Pleasant Valley Sunday,”Last Train To Clarksville” and “I’m A Believer,” Dolenz will return to the stage for an exciting Q&A session with Arcada Theatre President and CEO, Ron Onesti.
“I am always trying to give our customers something more, something they wouldn’t normally get at another venue,” said Onesti.  “Letting the audience into the behind-the-scenes world of show biz is a favorite feature here at The Arcada.  And I could not be more excited to ask Micky about those incredibly cool Monkees experiences!”
Previously partaking in a similar Q&A feature at a recent Monkee convention, Dolenz added, It was a terrific addition at the Monkee-Con as the session covered questions about my whole career; from the TV-show, to my most recent solo album Remember and the Live At B. B. King’s recording. I’m looking forward to doing the same in St. Charles!”
Added to the bill that night will be another rare occurrence…a performance by the harmonious vocal group from sixties, The Cowsills.  This family-based band adorned every teen mag cover at the time and was the inspiration for the television show “The Partridge Family.”  The band’s recent Showtime television special, “Family Band: The Cowsills Story” has created renewed interest and throngs of new fans of the group.
Tickets for the all-star night of music start at $39 and are available by logging onto www.oshows.com, by calling 888-665-0888 or by visiting the theatre box office.  The Arcada Theatre is a 1926 Vaudeville theatre renovated back to it’s original splendor of the Roaring Twenties.  It is located at 105 East Main Street, St. Charles, Illinois.
