I've loved you guys for 5 years. You're the greatest, and i wish you would 
do a gig here (in Adelaide!) there are so many fans here you have to

The Monkees were a product 
brought to us by an oportuinist and businessman, Don Kershner. The Monkees 
were what white middle aged America wanted their children to see, clean, 
funny and safe white kids. The true artistic talent being "The Rolling 
Stones" and drug induced "Sargent Pepper's". I carried a grudge for Don's 
cleaned wrapped "product" of the sixties. No talent only a formula for 
success.

Hey all.... I was just on 
a Royal Caribbean Cruise that sailed from 10/24 - 10/31, and the highlight 
of my cruise (aside from the beautiful islands!) was to see Mickey Dolenz 
perform with his sister Coco!  :)

I've been a Monkees fan since I was about 9 (I'm 29 now!) and I have every 
album that they put out, however, I have never seen them perform.. so it 
was really kind of cool to see 1/4 of the band... and he was excellent.. 
Very talented, has a nice voice and was very comical...

I never missed the Monkees on Monday 
night at 6:30.  It was the only show my mom let us watch during dinner. In 
the spring of 1967, I saw them in concert in Wichita, KS.  They were great.  
Their opening act was the Fifth Dimension.  So much fun.

Hello from England I have 
been a Monkees fan since 1967 and have followed their careers over the 
years ever since.  As well as a wife and mum, I am now a mature music 
student studying for a BA Hons Degree and have been working a 
musician/songwriter and recording engineer for a number of years.  My music 
was influenced by the early Monkees stuff.  Especially Mike's 'Sweet Young 
Thing'.  It is still an ambition to collaborate with Mike on a song. Any

Hello fellow Monkees fans!  I've 
been a believer since my sister was a fan. She had the albums, pictures, 
and the talking monkees doll! I saw the reunited Monkees (sans Mike) twice 
on LI, NY in '86, Micky and Davy doing a lunchtime show at World Trade 
Center in '95, and Micky, Peter, and Davy again Summer of '97.  Their shows 
are always filled with fun and great tunes.  Micky Dolenz is my favorite 
because of his humour, and great singing voice - he is unique in his vocal 
styling and the most unappreciated singers in the biz.  This is a great 
website and I love all the pictures you have on here and being able to 
gather with other monkees fans to celebrate the pre-fab four.

I remember watching the Monkees on TV when 
I was younger and thinking how great they were. Now that they are out and 
about again I just love it. I just bought their greatest hits CD and love 
it. All my favorites are on it, from Day Dream Beliver to Last Train to 
Clarksville. It's hard to find music out there were you can understand and 
dance to like those guy's. Let's hope they keep it up for a long time to 
come. All the best to Dave, Peter, Mickey and Mike in what ever they do in

Monkees fan.  My husband is also.  We have one room in our house that has 
nothing but collected Monkee stuff in it.  We collect everything that has 
to do with the Monkees.  They are truely the greatest!!!!!!!!!!!  We even

I have been a Monkees fan for years.  I've been to their 
last two world concerts.  I begame a fan when I was in 6th grade and even 
now that I'm a freshman (1999)I love them even more.  I LOVE ALL OF YOU

I grew up 
with the Monkees, and David Jones was and still is my favorite, in here we 
had a special about the Monkees new CD's and i saw them all on television i 
CRACKED UP MAN to see how they look now and there are still good looking 
and when i saw David dancing the same way  he's so cool well i think i am 
still in LOVE...

Mickey, Davy and Peter clowning around was the best medicine.  My surgery 
left me with a permanent scar in the shape of a *smile* beneath my 
bellybutton to remind me of my favorite Monkee memory.

The Monkees phenomenom has been 
popular for quite a while now. I have been a fan since i was a little girl. 
The show was a big hit in the 60's as well as the music. I was honored when 
i got to meet Micky and Davy. Even though the show is canceled i know that 
the music will live on forever.My sister Claudia is also a big monkee fan

Used to watch the Monkees every Saturday morning at 11am.  I was about 
10 or 11 years old.  I'm now 37 and watch whenever I see them on or 
something told about them.  My favorite was always Nesmith.  Loved that 
hat!!

The 
Monkee's ruled my world when I first saw them as a teen and still rule it 
now!  My 16 year old daughter knows better than to turn down the volume 
when I'm cleaning house to any of my Monkee music!!  Thanks for hanging in

    I've been a fan since the very beginning, and though the flame may have 
dimmed some years, it's still there, nonetheless.  Sure would like to hear

worked with Davy Jones on the LATE 60s when the Monkees were big. Davy gave 
my dad his personal coffee cup to give to me..It is still sitting on my

I can't say I am a big fan 
of the Monkees, but I enjoy their music and have seen Micky play in the 
Georgia Dome. My wife's friend knows Micky Dolenz and I got a chance to 
meet him when he played here in Atlanta. He is a real nice guy, he took a 
picture with us and we got to talk with for a while. We plan to meet him 
again when we go out to California.

best rock group and I think it's because of the success of their show and

Micky on Circus Boy! It may be true that the boys were a manufactured 
sound, but it was a great sound. Great song writing and production quality. 
Jack douglas did a real good job on 4th album.... Piscis, Aquarius, etc. I

I was about 9 years old when the Monkees premiered on TV, and experiencing 
them has cobeen a major influence in my life. After years and years of 
enjoying Monkee music, I had the pleasure of seeing the Monkees minus Mike 
at the Indiana Stat Fairgrounds inwhat was probably 1990 or so. Even though 
I am a professional author/photographer who has meet and interviewed lots 
of contemporary rock musicians, I was overwhelmed to be able to FINALLY see 
and hear the guys. It was a night I will always remember--it rates right up 
there with the birth of my 2 children.

I raised my niece on Monkees episodes and music, and she accompanied me to 
the concert when she was only age 10. Now, I have an 8 year old and a 4 
year old, and I'm raising them on the Monkees, too. It's so wonderful to 
find out that there are many others like me out on the 'net--young and old 
but young-at-heart--who continue to love the Monkees.

When the Monkees were first on TV, they were featured on every teen 
magazine in the world, primarily Tiger Beat and 16 Magazine. I have saved 
every issue with anything on the Monkees, and I still have them in 
safe-keeping today. I was lucky enough to record MTV's Monkee Marathon, 
which aired about 10 years ago, too. Additionally, I've purchased Monkees 
videos from Rhino Records, and they are a great place to get Monkee 
stuff--collectables, books, videos, recordings, t-shirts, etc. 
(www,rhino.com) They also sell a complete collection of all Monkee episodes 
along with the movie "Head" for about $300. Gee, I wish I could afford 
that, but I do thinkk it is overpriced. I'd be able too get $200 to buy the 
collection, but $300 is way too much. Rhino also sells a copy of the 
Monkees' first TV special, which aired in about 1968 or so.

If any of the Boys read this message, I am a published author and 
award-winning editor, and I's love to act as a ghost writer for any of them 
at any time! Anyone who has a Monkee-related book in need of revision or 
assistance in authoring, editing, or manuscript developmemnt, please 
contact me. I'd consider it the high point of my career--without a doubt. 
The book "The Monkees Tale" by Eric Lefcowitz is an excellent read, and I 
recommend it highly. (Eric, do you need some assistance on keeping your

After seeing all you Monkees fans' messages here, I realize I'm not alone 
in wanting to live the "Pleasant Valley Sunday" life. Having the Boys part 
of my life is something so meaningful to me that I cannot express the 
gratitude I feel toward Davy, Peter, Mickey, and Mike for the countless 
hours of enjoyment, entertainment, reflection, and contemplation they have 
given me. Thank you, Boys! I could never put a price on what you've meant 
to me. (I've loved you all since I first saw you, and now I'm 42, but I 
still feel the same excitement I did when I was 10 when it comes to YOU!)

I have seen several messages from fans in the Indiana area. Wouldn't it be 
great to get together and have a Monkees Festival? if you are in Indiana

Hello fellow Monkee lovers...I've been a 
great fan of the guys from day one.  I would never miss any of their 
episodes when the show came out in the mid 60's.  I haven't been able to 
find any info on the guys until now, so this is wonderful finding all these 
great pages!  I'll be kept busy for some time catching up on everything.

Hey all Monkees fans.. im only 17, but i 
love the Monkees. I have a Monkees lunch box, and I made my parents take it 
to a Davy Jones concert, to get it signed (It was in a casino, and im not 
old enough to get in) so they took it, and it is now autographed by Davy. 
Now i just have to track down the rest of the Monkees, and it will be

Ever since I was little, my mother would play The 
Monkees' records for me.  Now, almost 20 years later, I am a huge Monkees 
fan, not only of their music, but of the television series and movie.  I 
would like to thank The Monkees for being such a wonderful influence for 
me.

OK -- first off:  The Monkees are, and shall 
always be, da bomb.  I LOVE the MOnkees, and no matter what anyone says, i 
will dig them until the day I die.  "PLEASANT VALLEY SUNDAY" all the way 
man!!!  "Head" was by far, however , my favorite (or one of my favorite 
perhaps)piece by the group. I mean, c'mon, where else do you get to see 
your childhood fantasy boy(s) all high and tripped out on acid?? :)  I love 
them all: LONG LIVE THE MONKEES!!!!   Oh, and check out David Lynch's work, 
he's nothing but sheer brilliance . . .

I have been a fan of the 
monkees since I was 9 and am going to turn 22 this year. I saw The MOnkees 
in 97 at Hampton Beach and saw Micky perform with the Teen Idols Tour in 
Mass. IT was such and awsome concert... i was yelling "I love you Micky" 
right in front of him the whole time... It was awsome!!!!!

Love you guys!! I am the 
presidedent of Head of The Monkees fan club, and love every minute that I 
do it. It's wonderful to see everyone doing so much. Keep up the touring,

I 
met Micky in 1967 or so. I had to point him out to my friends because they 
didn't recognize him. He had full beard and longer than normal hair. He 
quietly permitted us to take his picture....and then.... we all proceeded 
to hike to the top of Mount Whitney....the tallest mountain in the 
continental U.S. We went our separate ways at the top.  As we were driving 
home from where we parked our car , I noticed a new red Mercedes 
convertable with a monkey hanging from the rear view mirror. Been a 
Circus-Boy fan ever since!

I am a big fan, you guys were really cool and funny.

He's an Italian member of Eiffel 65. I mean, they look nothing alike, no

I 
cannot believe that I am putting my name in a Monkees Fan book. I never 
admitted that I like the Monkees, but I feel it's time to come out of the 
closet and announce my past attraction to them. 

I grew up in Australia where I 
collected the whole set of Monkees bubble gum cards (that make up a full 
poster jigsaw on the back) and remember staring at a particular cover of an 
EP for hours - if you jiggled it up and down, left and right, it was quite 
a psychaedelic (?) experience!!  Lived for the TV series, wanted the car - 
still got the buuble gum cards and a couple of mags - and I'm 43!! Life 
would have been "only shades of grey" without the Monkees!

I 
have gotten to meet Davey Jones, Peter Tork and Mickey Dolenz, they have 
all been very nice to meet. Its a shame that they weren't a little nicer 
though. Oh well

I've been a Monkees fan 
ever since I first saw them in 1986 for their 20th reunion tour and ever 
since them, I've been a major Monkee fan.  I think that any body who wasn't 
around back in the 60's, and who love old groups (such as myself) have the 
right idea on things. For all you Monkee fans- Keep Monkeeing around.  PS I 
LOVE MICKY!

I have loved all the guys since 
their first arrival song. I was just a teenager then, and though they and I 
are older they are still wonderful. Keep up the good work guys. The remeke 
will never be the same.

After 30 yrs, my dream of Meeting Davy 
Jones is now a reality.  And I must say that he was even nicer, sweeter, 
funnier, and more professional and charming than I ever could have imagined 
or asked for!  This man is professional in every since of the word!  He 
signed books and chatted with fans at the Hickory Hollow Mall in Nashville 
recently.  Davy seemed to genuinely be concerned about each person that 
stood in that 2 1/2 hour line to meet him.  He is my hero!  I was able to 
get him to autograph a picture of him with my daughter, taken about 4 yrs 
ago in Memphis.  TRULY A DREAM COME TRUE!  Davy, any time you're ready for 
a 38 yr old Southern gal, give me a call....Thanks for making a dream come 
true...GREAT BOOK, too :)

I have loved these guys for a 
very long time.  But being honest here, that feeling had slipped away for 
awhile....(sad, but true) and then, yesterday (apr.30,2000) I saw Davy in 
concert and wow!!  All those feelings came rushing back. What a great show 
it was.  (Thanks Davy!!)  And this site is great too!  Keep up the good 
work to all who take the time on this site!  Shirley

cherish the memories I have of those days.. Oh, to be young again. But,

Whoa! I was just 
surfing the web and I came across this page. I am so excited because I have 
been a Monkees fan since 1985 (I think). All I know is that when I came 
home after spending the day in pre-school, my brother and I would tune to
Nickelodeon and watch the Monkees!! And one day I was humming the theme
