Hi, im 25, and have been a 
monkee fan since i was 11 years old, i dont know many people i can talk to 
about the monkees. most of my life ive just about gone through every kind 
of abuse, and having listened and watched the 4 cutest guys helped me 
forget what was going throgh my mind,so heres what i thought of them.

My bands still plays "steppin' 
stone" even trough several line up changes. It's lots of fun to sing it. My 
fave , anyway, is Daily Nightly. A masterpiece. love to all italian fans 
and everywhere in the world. There's a Monkee's Theme version, sung in 
italian, very funny. And if you look an old italian movie (1968) called 
"straziami ma di baci saziami" there's a whole scene in a room with a mega 
poster of the magic four...funny.

chance to share the Monkees with our children and they love them too. We're 
very disappointed they didn't tour togerther this year.

watch them on tv.Then when I was in my teens.......foget it "I was in 
LOVE". Now that I'm36 and look back I always smile.It was fun .I sill have 
all their albums and also the one Davy and Mickey did later on 
DOLENZ,JONES,BOYCE & HART.I still enjoy their music .Even my seventeen yr. 
likes the music.

   I've seen The Monkees in concert three times and will 
continue to take any chance to see Davy Jones perform live!!  I work as an 
animal trainer at Sea World and if your out there Davy, your welcome to get

Hey everybody! I'm pretty new to all 
the Monkees stuff... But I love them! Unfortunatly for me, it took a long 
time for it to register to me how great Micky, Mike, Davy, and Peter were 
and still are; but I believe I'm making up for some lost time... =) I've 
back ordered many episodes, yet few have come in =( (I live in this stupid 
little town where they don't know anything) but I recently went on vacation 
in Miami, andmanaged to get two more of those 1 video things with two 
episodes on it and another book, so for now I'm pleased, but not entirely
satisfied. I only wish I wasn't so dumb not to know of these guys back when 
the JustUs and Pool It! tours were going on... =( But there have been 
rumors (or not?) of a tour in 1999 or 2000.. don't know what to think of it 
though. All I can say is hopefully! I recently got Micky's biography, 
finally this town did something right! I started it at 9PM at night, the 
next day I had it finished at 8:30 in the morning, it was wonderful!  I 
only have one question of it though... You know the first set of pictures?

The Monkees are so great!  They need to be on Nick at 
Nite permanently.  Does anyone know where I could find Books about The 
Monkees.  They are not anywhere in this stupid town. My favorite Monkees 
episode is where Peter is about to get operated on but the Monkees always 
come through for each other. Is there anyway we could get Papa Nez to tour

hellow fellow monkee fans, how are ya today? i'm 14 years old and i am 
such a huge monkee fan. my very favorite monkee is mike. i'm from texas and 
last month i got back from visiting my granparents there. anyway while i 
was down there we went monkee hunting in antigue shops for old original 
monkee collectables. i found two singles last train to clarksville and the 
flip side take a giant step the other i'm a believer and the flip side i'm 
not your steppin' stone i found the monkees album but it didnt have the 
record in it i bought it anyway the  headquarters album the more of the 
monkees album but it had the headquarters album instead of more of the 
monkees i also found an old book all about them and if you have the listen 
to the band box set which i do on the back of one of the cd cases you will 
see it. it has a full linghth picture of them and black around it and the 
monkees logo at there feet. when i got back to oregon my mom took me to 
arecord shop in portland and i found the more of the monkees with the right 
album in it the pisces, aquarius, capricorn and jones ltd album the birds 
the bees and the monkees album and the first two records of the first 
national band and another single the last train to claksville one but this 
time it still had the raper on it i also have a ton of the now days stuff 
ya know the cds the shows the pillow,t-shirts, lunchbox, head, trading 
cards,books and i can go on and on i also have thousands of pictures of 
them on all my walls mostly mike and group pics. oh and by the way i get to 
go see davy jones in concert sept. 11 in portland, oregon  and i might meet 
him.      

I'm 15, and ever since I was a little 
girl, I've always loved Mike Nesmith. He is the hottest man god has ever 
and will ever create. Just remember that. He's also the most sexiest, 
funniest, and most intellegent man alive...Never forgett him...

19 (it's my birthday today!) so I'm a bit young to be a first generation 
fan, but I used to watch the show every week when I was tiny (so tiny that 
I remember asking my mum where all the monkeys were) and I loved it to 
bits.  I cried when the series finished.  If there is anyone out there who 
is a fan who has no one to share their obsession with (especially, but not

the Monkees since I was 8 years old. My mom leant me ony of me her record, 
the phenomenal Monkees, which she never got back. I saw them in concert in 
Connecticut in August 1987 without Michael Nesmith, I still have my 
t-shirt. I have all the albums on cassette and on cds. My favorite songs 
are "sometimes in the morning" "Saturday's child" and "anytime anyplace 
anywhere". If I had to chose my favorite monkee would be Micky. But only if 
I had to chose.

Hello David Fans.... Saw Teen Idol Show in Mt Airey Sept. 6th and 
David was fab......He put on a excellant show. He sang old Monkee tunes 
Plus some of his new stuff and all were great...He enter the stage with a 
5ft piece of toilet paper hanging from his butt....Very funny David.... and 
he only got better He truly is a showman....Slow down Davy, my eyes can't

to all the monkee fans all over the world! I got to meet Micky, Davy and 
Peter last year at the Puyallup Fair,after a great Monkee show. Micky was 
robotic and Davy showbizzy, while Peter was genuinely nice to all of us 
there, taking time to talk & listen.I  wish Mike could have been there,him 
being my fave Monkee.

I LOVE the Monkees and have ever since I 
watched their TV show. I am 19 guy, who is in college, and has almost all 
of their tapes, and now I'm trying to get the complete CD Collection. I 
listen to all kinds of stuff, R & B, RAP, etc, but I love my Monkees. I 
have almost every song memorized and have as much memorabilia as a 19 year 
old can have! LONG LIVE THE MONKEES!

I was a Monkees fan when they were on originally in the late 
sixties!! I was only 10 then, nevertheless I knew the words to their 
biggest hits.  I had forgotten all about them until a few years ago when 
they started showing them on VH1 and then they had a television special on 
I told my children about them and then they got interested in them also. 
Now we have all their CD's and videos. We saw them in concert last year and 
they still look good!  Monkees fans forever here!!

Whatever became of the young 
gal who portrayed Vannessa Russell in the first episode filmed in the 
1966-67 season(not to be confused with the first episode that aired on NBC
in September of 1966.)?

I love the Monkees!!!!!  They are my 
fave group of all time!!!  They arer better than the Beatles!!!  My fave 
Monkee is Micky and my fave song is "I'm A Believer."

So when's Mike gonna tour 
again?  I've seen Mickey, Peter, and Davy... but never MIKE!!! Anybody got 
any ideas???  Please e-mail me or soemthing!!!

Saw The Monkees 
last year at Sheffield when they toured the UK. They were absolutely 
BRILLIANT!!!!!!! By the way, when Mick lived near Newark, England, my 
partner Andy did some work on his house. Claim to fame!!!!! Keep Monkeeing

I got to see Davy Jones for the 
second time last August.  He was on the Teen Idols Tour.  He was 
WONDERFUL!!!  There's just something about that rush when he sings Daydream 
Believer.  I love you Davy!! 

I saw Davy this summer doing his part 
with the Teen Idols Tour adn I can honestly say he's better than he was 
back then, really.  So were Bobby Sherman and Peter Noone.  They looked 
great, sounded superb and seemed like they could have partied all night 
with people half their age.  It was real fun!!

think I have liked the Monkees since junior high, I'm only 26, so when 
their show was on TV, I wasn't even born yet!  I've been fortunate to see 
them in concert 3 times although my husband doesn't like them, so I always

meeting were on Monday night, that was the night the Monkees were on in the 
New York Metropolitan area.  Back then we did not have VCR's.  I was a rare

I saw Davy Jones and his band 
October 3rd at Pensacola Beach, Florida and he was wonderful - and still 
absolutely ADORABLE!  I had my ticket stub from June, 1967 in case I got 
close enough to him so he could autograph it for me but no such luck.  We 
went to a restaurant at the beach before the concert and his band was there 
but no Davy.  The waitress said he'd been in the night before so I missed 
him.  At the concert there were so many people I had to climb the railing 
in order to see him and I believe it was at that point my husband pretended 
he didn't know me but that's OK -  it was WAY cool.  It was great to see a 
performer who brought back so many happy memories.

great web site!!! seems like i 
find out new info all the time, whether it be about the band's history or 
its present form.  would like to see real video on some of the monkees 
commercials "if their available" or of their tv appearances.  would love to 
see them on american bandstand december 1966.  i have all their music, plus
the video box and a few bubblegum cards (not in best of shape) but always 
wanted to say thanks to the guys for all the fun. i can still smile 
everytime i see an episode of the show or when i hear one of their songs on 
the radio.  my four year old daughter even likes the show.  the monkees 
experience was one that will never be able to be captured by any new band.  
favorite episode: devil and peter tork. favorite album: pac&j ltd.  a great 
balance of songs and styles.  from pop to nesmith's pioneering country-rock 
to psychedlia its all there.  i'm keeping my eye on this site to see if 
there will be any other missing link collections. til next time "save the

it would be so awesome. i do believe nez fans would be coming out of the 
cracks to see him. peter did a small concert in Lancaster, PA which i had 
the pleasure of going to. the tiny room was packed with peter fans. better 
yet, mike could get together a FNB reunion tour. he would only have to go 
to a few cities, like say...Lancaster, PA. i'd love to see red play his

I as a young teenager was truly 
in love with Mickey Dolenz..As a mean trick, one of my so called friends 
told me Mickey had died in a car crash... I cried for days.. finally my 
father took me to a local radio station for them to convince me that Mickey 
was alive and well... I am 44 now and I can remember that like it was 
yesterday.  Glad the rumor was false....

I have been a Monkees fan 
since I was 12 years old.  That was 1986 and I've never stopped loving 
them.  My husband, who was around when they originally aired, thinks I'm a 
loon, but I see him smiling when I mention a scene from one of their 
episodes. I've been to 2 concerts, one in Tulsa in 1996 and one in Kansas 
in 1997.  I got some great pictures at the 1997 concert.  My favorite is 
Micky, but I adore all of them.  I don't really have a favorite episode, 
but my favorite song is Door Into Summer.

The Monkees is and 
will always be my #1 all time favorite rock group. I have at least 1 
record, 5 tapes, 1 book, plus i also have a magazine, The Monkees anthology 
cd. I have seen all the episodes of their show as well. I met at least 2 of 
the monkees as well.I even have 3 of their videos as well.

Hey!  I've been a 
huge Monkees fan since last year because I went to their concert last 
September.  I had the most fun I've ever had.  Of course, Mike wasn't there 
and he's my favorite, but sometimes you just have to deal with these 
things.  My favortie Monkees song is definitely Papa Gene's Blues.  It was 
the first Monkees song I ever heard that I really, really liked.  My 
favorite episode is the one that Mike sells the song and the guy gyps him.  
I have no idea what it's called, but I like that episode.  Anyway, I love 
the Monkees and always will! Amy L.

Dear Everybody, Greetings! I have a 
question for you all. Is there anybody out there who loves the boys who is 
just as young as I am and is still in elementary school? See, I just moved 
down to another state not too long ago from one of the cleanest, most 
beautiful, hippest, most friendliest places in America. This state I'm 
living in NOW is the exact opposite of all of those things and I hate this 
place. This state, or at least this city, is just one gigantic looney bin 
full of retards without strait jackets or security guards or even anybody 
to proplerly run the place, unless you're talking about some brainless 
chimpanzees with lobotomies who haven't been schooled since pre-school and 
only know what they know about life in general by reading the National 
Enquirer--You'll find these chimpanzees in the school down here, 
especially.(Obviously, there are just certain types of monkeys in this 
world who SHOULDN'T show their monkee power, basically because they don't 
have any.) 

    
     The elementary school I'm in now is an absolute joke, the teaching 
     system primitive as the caveman days, and my so-called classmates are 
     paranoid, cold as ice, unfriendly, suspicious, outcasting, 
     pretentious, backstabbing, and on top of it all, verbally abusive and 
     harassing as heck. And even though I pride myself on being one of the 
     nicest, kindest, sweetest, most thoughtful, sincere, honest and noble 
     friends one could ever have, try as I may have, with more than all my 
     might, I haven't made one single friend. I'm usually known as the 
     star, straight-A student where I come from, but now, down here, well, 
     no. No matter how hard I try, no. And my mother is still STUPID enough 
     to blame me for not trying hard enough, also, for--get this--not being 
     one of the crowd in order to make friends, and according to her, in 
     order to make friends, I have to be like a Man In Black and not stand 
     out in any way! God, what a dim-witted mentality!  Not only that, but 
     some manuer-for-brains test-tube baby in my class started a horrible, 
     embarrassing, unspeakable rumor about me that even kids in lower 
     grades know about and this rumor has lasted for two grades straight 
     since I've been here and is still going strong to this day.
   
      I'm the punching bag and the outcast at the same time. I know you may 
      think I'm just being overdramatic when I say this but I'm not--every 
      word I'm about to say, I swear, is true--the verbal abuse I recieve 
      from these kids(mostly boys) constantly goes 
      on--NON-STOP--LITERALLY-- DAY AFTER DAY--FROM THE TIME I ENTER CLASS 
      TO THE TIME I LEAVE TO THE TIME I GET TO MY MOM'S CAR. And every 
      single thing I've just said from "Dear Everybody" up to this point is 
      only the beginning!

Get this--THE ENTIRE SCHOOL IS PAINTED CEMENT GREY. YOU PEOPLE MAY THINK 
     I'M EXAGGERATING BUT I'M NOT. But these four boys have been diamonds 
     in this ocean of diarrhea I've run into. I'm still trying to search 
     for an island to swim on to, but at least I've got something beautiful 
     and shiny where there used to be ABSOLUTELY nothing. And that's what's 
     worse is I love these boys dearly. I wore a button with Davy's picture 
     on it to school one day, just to be cool and maybe attract a few 
     fellow Monkees fans. Big mistake. Virtually all my classmates, all 
     they did is rave on and on and on about how they detested, loathed and 
     despised the group, complaining that the adventures of theirs that 
     some people decided to show to the rest of the world through 
     television were blasted stupid as heck, and making fun of me because I 
     "actually like those stupid idiots", and treating me like an outcast 
     and a freak of nature just because I like these boys. I even got a 
     prank call from some stupid putz who has his head permanently stuck in 
     his behind, a high-pitched thing with an extremely fake English accent 
     who called himself "Pee-tah" spouting off all this romantic garbage 
     with his fellow putzes, also with their heads permanently stuck in 
     their behinds, laughing in the background.(The callers DID sound 
     muffled when they spoke. Shame. Must smell bad under there. Going to 
     the bathroom must be murder for these boys.) Oh, by the way, here's 
     something baffling-- I just had to add this because it's so stupidly 
     perplexing it's actually funny-- one day I saw a person who thought 
     the band was a bunch of putzes, one of the "complainers" that I talked 
     about, hanging out with her bubble-headed friends at the mall, and she 
     said "Hey! Let's do that cool walk! Here we come..." (You'll never 
     guess what they did. They were going foot-over-foot, doing the boys' 
     patented walk.)

Will somebody please explain this?

     These are the same people who used to like that so-called "music" that 
     has an extreme-as-heck fixation on the bass drum, which doesn't even 
     have any singing, but mindless chanting about who-knows-what, or some 
     obscene thing, that some putzes down here who think they're an 
     incarnation of God sent down to Earth or the Resurrection of Jesus 
     Christ insisted upon playing in their cars beyond full blast with the 
     windows rolled down so that the whole blasted town could hear--at 1:00 
     in the morning. (It never failed. We live by a four-way stop and every 
     single night around that time, I'd be in a good night's sleep and then 
     BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM Unga Bunga Unga Bunga Unga 
     Bunga Unga Bunga.) And now they're under the horrible delusion that 
     the only bands existent in this world are the Spice Girls and Hanson. 
     Don't get me wrong, I like these two groups(and all the other kids who 
     do are mostly Barbie Girls who think I'm a walking, talking mirage and 
     even call me exactly that behind my back) but as Auntie Mame says, 
     "Life is a banquet, and most poor fools in this world are starving to 
     death." Why am I emphasizing all this negativity, which I normally 
     wouldn't do to beings in cyberspace I don't even know? Because all I 
     want is an answer to just one question--isn't there ANY kind of living 
     being out there who loves these boys as dearly as I do, but who's 
     still in elementary school like me? I can't find a single living soul 
     down here who does, and I'm DESPERATE! And look, that's all I ask for 
     too. I'm not asking for compassion or any "AWWWWWWWW"s or anything 
     similar to that. All I ask for is a fellow fool who's fallen hook, 
     line and sinker for these boys who's just as young as I am.
