just so happens i will give you all the information on the Monkees Hand Puppet footage. the puppet footage was shot in 1986 in san francisco by eric lefcowitz for the monkees tales book commercial. i sent the puppet to eric a few weeks before that. this was the raw rehearsal footage they shot, the hand was Penelope, a punk type rocker that eric knew and played with(yes, eric is also a musician). later, eric sent the footage and the headless hand puppet back to me. i then recorded the audio tracks from the puppet, took out the tiny record and put it on a turntable to get the best quality(yes, anal as can be). after which, i put that audio track to the footage. this was then included on the monkees secret video file VHS/BETA tape that was sold for many years. also on the tape was the full tv commercial for the monkees tale.
most the commercials on the net, came from the MSFV tape. duane

I tried to upload the picture to Monkees.net but it was too large (Hi Res .jpg)

Anyway, the photo was taken one week ago at 217 Thompson in Greenwich Village, New York City, former location of Davy’s boutique Zilch. I in fact had the pleasure of shopping there several times in the Summer of ’68 when I lived a couple of blocks away.

Although the location is currently a postal / package service store, the doors into the store retain the distinctive “Z” handles from the Zilch days.

I don’t think the Monkees care about their fans because i am one of their biggest fans and I’ve benefit writing to them for months explaining to them how i wanted to attend their concerts for 25 years, but I’ve benefit very sick this past year and i couldn’t attend their concert this year cause I’ve been in the hospital all summer. I never even got an acknowlegment. It only proves that they don’t really care about their fans. I’m sorry to disappoint the rest of you.

Hi – I attended the Monkees concert on Jul 19, 1969 in Lake Geneva, WI. To the best of my recollection, it was held in the cafeteria of one of the schools, not in “An Unknown Barn”.

I have loved these guys since I was 13…seems like yesterday. I have all their records and the remake of all their his on CD. You grew up like I had to but your never lost your love of music and your great personal presence. My crushes changed from each one of you usually monthly, but I really enjoyed Mickey’s voice and Mike’s also. Davey was great and so was Peter. I dated a guy that looked JUST like Peter! rhino should have charged at least 25.00 for this is a rip off .this will skyrocket up in price on ebay .i tried to order on the rhino website for 2 days but as usual they had problems again .rhino is screwing up the works again for this . alan
