I've been a fan since the 
beginning, even though I was only 6 at the time. Always a Mike fan 
too.Favorite Monkee episode:Monkee vs. Machine, where Mike really socks it 
to a computer.Favorite song: anything Mike sings plus Mary, Mary and 
Pleasant Valley Sunday. But really I love them all. I was lucky enough to 
get to go to the Justus media blitz in Hollywood, and even luckier to get 
to meet Mike (sigh!), Peter, and David after the show.What a couple of 
sweethearts! They were always kind and patient and eager to talk to the 
fans. If you haven't gotten the new book,'Hey Hey We're the Monkees', get 
it! It is one of the best I've read so far. Just wait til you read about 
Mike's encounter with the Mexican Police! Those of you that are Mike fans 
need to look into 'Dedicated Friends'.It's Mike's official fan club. Donna 
Bailey is the Prez. Always looking for Mike fans to talk to...

I've been a Monkees fan since 
1966.  I saw them in concert back in 1986 at Great America in Santa Clara, 
Ca.  Also, I had the pleasure of meeting Micky backstage at the Merced 
County Fair, California back in '92 along with Bobby "Boris" 
Pickett.  A super, down to earth guy.  Sorry that we missed their 30th 
tour.  But we've got "Justus" to listen to.

When I was growing up, I just thought the Monkees were just a bunch of 
snot nosed Beatles wanabees, but... many, many years and drugs later I 
found out the truth; HEAD kicked ass! I don't know the title of the song(i 
think its called WAR), but that scene where they do that song in the middle 
of the Beatle-esque arena of screaming girls is one of my favorites of all 
time.I think the chorus is "...well it looks like we made it once 
again." Man, I'd kill for that sheet music!

I look forward to the next 
monkees-only album with great anticipation. When I hear the JustUs album, I 
hear 4 people with different styles coming together simply to make music. I 
hear heart and integrity in those songs. Here's to another classic! 
(Whenever that time comes!)

Peter Tork is the GOD of all Monkees.

The Monkees new cd is marginal, but I am a music director for 
a radio station and we are getting a good response on "Never 
Enough".  The station is "LIVE 95" in Centralia 
Washington.

Always liked them would leave Disneyland to 
get home in time for the TV show. Fav. Monkee=Micky.  Too Funny, but I like 
them all.  Love the song Circle Sky!  Great work!  Also love Randy Scouse 
Git.  Great original!  Never meet the Monkees, but would Like to someday.  
Any suggestions?  Have all their original albums, posters, CD's, movie, 
T.V.shows etc.  Always looking for more stuff.  Hope to Meet the Monkees 
someday.  Maybe in Vegas at the Tropicana!?!?

Yea Brad.   Thanks for the e-mail on the 
fix.     Now for my Monkees tale. When I was a kid back in the mid 70's, me 
and three of my friends pretended that we were the guys.  Lip-synched to 
the records, made up our own adventures, etc.   It was a blast.   BTW, I 
got to be Nez since I was the natural leader, and the only one who had a 
wool hat. Switched over to ties when Nez did even. Sounds weird, but hey we 
were just kids.  It was fun.  

Love the album guys.  No complaints here, just glad you did it.

Was watching reruns on tv here this 
month. First saw Monkees on tv late '60's and converted many people into 
fans. My son grew up on Monkees music. Would really like the guys to visit 
"Down Under". 

Dear all of Fans!! I'm happy to come to join you all!! I've been crazy 
about The Monkees since 1980 when there was BIG revival boom in Japan. ( I 
was a junior high student then.) I love DAVY!!

I've got the newest CD "JUSTUS" at last! I like "It's not 
too late" the best. I'm very impressed by their harmony, because I can 
hear not only Davy's voice but also Micky's, Peter's and Mike's at the same 
time!!!

Hello everyone!  It's been a long time since I've made contact with
other Monkee fans.  Back in the mid-80's, I used to be the president of For 
Pete's Sake:  An Association of Peter Tork Admirers.  It was one of the 
best times of my life so far!  I miss the comraderie and friendships I made 
during that time.

I'm more than thrilled with the release of JUSTUS.  All I can say is, it's 
about time.

If anyone knows where or how I 
can get a hold of Monkees TV shows let me know. I haven't seen them since I 
was in elementary school, and then they were a staple in my life.

When I was about 8 or 9, I loved the 
Monkees. i grew out of them when New Kids on the Block came around though. 
For a while i didn't like them, or atleast I wouldn't admit that I did. But 
now I'm willing to admit that I think they are really cool. i wish I could 
have gone to the concert, but I was out of town.

Long Live The Pre-Fab Four!  Let's Get Mike to say YES to the 
tour!!!

The Monkees will live forever!!! Michael is amazing. I 
love all of his             music, everything he did on his own as well as 
what he did with the Monkees.      Michael has me completely

I would love the 
opportunity to see the Monkees in concert if they are in the Tucson or 
Phoenix area.  Does anyone know?  I saw them in concert in 1966 when I was 
9 yrs. old in New York where I was raised.  My mom helped me make posters, 
she was the coolest mom and still is.  Several yrs. back my husband was a 
truck driver and saw the Monkee's tour bus at a truck stop between Tucson 
and Phoenix.  He knocked on the door and Davy Jones answered it.  They 
chatted for a few minutes.  I was very upset with my husband when I asked 
him if Davy gave him an autographed photo and he said he never asked him!  
I didn't talk to him for several days!  Right now, I am at a low point in 
my life and receiving an e-mail wfrom any of the Monkee''s, especially Davy 
would really brighten up my life.

Our family (myself, wife, and 
9-year-old son) saw the Monkees live on Thursday, November 21, 1996 in 
Normal, Illinois.  I waited 30 years for them to come to my town; 
fortunately my son only had to wait nine years.  We would love to see them 
again the next time they play anywhere near.  It was the best time I've 
ever had at ANY concert!  Thanks for coming to my town!!!!!

My wife and I saw the Monkees 
at the Patriot Center in Virginia.  Was anyone else on this list

My first name is spelled the 
same as Micky's eldest daughter(Ami).  I have a son named Jonathon Michael.  
My wedding anniversary is one day after Davy's and Anita's.  

I Don't know what to say, well I"ve been A 
monkees fan since 1988. I think this is an awesome homepage, and the 
monkees are an awesome band. anyway, my favorite monkee is Peter Tork I 
think he is really spiffy. my favorite monkees songs are: pleasant valley 
sunday and I'm  not your steping stone. O.K. now that I've told you my

For what it's worth to all of the other loyal MONKEE fans out 
there, I just wanted to give my opinion on what my favorite episode of 
their T.V. series was and still is to this day, and that would be the 
episode that was the parody of "The Devil And Daniel Webster", 
wherein Mike has to defend Peter from the "Devil" to save his 
immortal soul.  And he accomplishes this by having Peter play his harp to 
show how much he loves the music. I just thought that episode was really 
well done, in contrast to the usual weekly slapstick.  Well, I guess that's 
my two cents worth.  Thanks!

THE 
MONKEES ARE BACK FOR AN ATTACK!!!

Just bought Justus from 
the Tower Records store in Picadilly Circus. It's great that they got it 
together again, finally. Now what they need to do is to get back over to
England and tour here, to promote Justus and to give the fans here a treat. 
How come America gets all the attention? We British fans are just as 
loyal.

a little kid, but now (I'm 14, I know that's a bit younger than some others 
who have been fans since the beginning) I have every album on vinyl, and
all their episodes on video that they have released so far.  My favorite 
Monkee is Davy Jones (like most girls) but I must say that Mike Nesmith is
the most talented, and I definitely have the most respect for him.  My 
favorite songs are : "Daydream Believer" "What Am I Doin'

I have heard some of my old pals have been looking for me, and I have lost
contact with some of them through moving, remarriage, job changes...yikes!

I would love to hear from some of the old friends I made in many travels

out there! I have tried this a few times, but it seems that I never got 
addad to your list, well here I am! I have been a Monkee fan as long as I 
can remember, I think it was 1982 or so. I love the new album that just 
came out, their music just talks to me.I love the new song "it's my 
life" It expresses my feelings so much. Its like they just know what 
to say,like in "take a giant step". I used to listen to this song 
over while it took me to another safer place. I can't wait to dedicate the 
song" sometime in the morning" to my husband (in 5-10yrs when i 
feel I am old enough to marry, not at my young age of 20!) That would be my 
ideal song. A song to show your feelings, or even the song "i'll be 
true to you", would work just as well! Well if any of you crazy Monkee 
fans would wish to write, please do! I promise to write back!!!!!!!!!

I've loved The Monkees since 1967--I 
remember Mom yelling at me to "turn down that silly TVshow"...  
I've seen them in concert  approx. 7 times, and have kissed Davy 3 times, 
always during "I Want to be Free", which I consider 
"our" song.......Other fave songs:  "She's Hangs out", 
"Little Bit Me', "Let's Dance ON"

A great big "Hi" to all 
you crazy Monkee fans.  I can't believe how many people like the Monkees as 
much as I do.  I've been a fan since the day I was born(24 years ago).  I 
love Davy - he's so dreamy.  I went to their concert this summer in Moline, 
IL.  It was a dream come true.  I only wish I could have met them.  How on 
earth do all of you get to go backstage?  Let me know your secrets on how 
to meet them.  I'm so mad that I missed them when they were in Bloomington 
last week.  I could just cry.  I would feel better if Davy would sing to 
me.  Davy -  are you there?  I know he's not around but it never hurts to 
try.  I have all the tv shows on video.  You can get them through Columbia 
House Video Club for all of you who are interested.  I just got the album 
Justus and I was kind of disappointed.  It is still good but I didn't think 
it lived up to their greatness.  Their next one will be better.  I'd better 
get off so others can talk.

When my mom was pregnant with me, she would play one of their LP's to get 
me to stop kicking her!! :) I was born to be a fan! I Love the guys sooo

I got to see the 
Monkees at Six Flags over Texas on the 4th of July and couldn't believe my 
eyes!!!!  They look better now, than before!!! (especially Micky)  They put 
on a fantastic show.  And when Micky sang "I'm a believer", I 
about went nuts!!!!

I cannot get my post posted on the alt. music monkees---the 
guys will NOT be doing New Years Eve with Leno---they will have an ABC 
Special in the spring and will perform as a foursome

I have been a fan of the guys since 
I saw my first episode--The Devil and Peter Tork--  and that was in 1977. 
But I really became a huge fan in 1986 when they were on MTV. I remember 
staying up for the last MTV Monkees Marathon, all 22 1/2 hours of it. The 
the following week, I saw them in conert. November 1, 1986 will be a day I 
will remember for the rest of my life. Along with July 4, 1996 when I saw 
them here in Dallas at Six Flags.  In the past ten years, a lot has changed 
in my life, but there was always one thing I could count on--I could put on 
any of the albums and escape with my friends, Micky, Davy, Peter and Mike. 
I have collected everything my budget has allowed, which probably isn't 
much compared to some of you!  

I'd like to hear from some of you. It'll be nice to talk to someone who 
doesn't look at me like I'm crazy for thoroughly enjoying the Monkees. I 
don't know about ya'll, but I get a little tired of having to explain that 
these guys are a heck of a lot more than the sixties version of Milli 
Vanilli.  I look forward to hearing from ya.....

I love the Monkees and have 
ever since I was about 9 or 10. I was so happy to find this great Monkee 
home page. It's funny because now my three daugh- ters love the Monkees 
too. I'm a faithfull fan of the Monkees and I am very happy to know that 
there are so many other Monkee fans out there as well!

I'm a 16 year old who has 
always loved the Monkees. Esspecially Davy jones. He is awesome! I saw them 
in Kansas City last summer, and it was a totally cool experience.

I just got the internet a few days ago.  I 
really love the Monkees.  I'm fifteen, and I saw them in concert on the 
fourth of July.  I had a third row seat!!  I also touched Micky Dolenz when 
he walked down the aisle next to me (sounds kinda funny, huh?) and that 
concert was great.  I used to watch the show when I was little and it was 
their second rise to fame.  I love Davy Jones, and Mike Nesmith.  My mom 
met Mike!!   She used to live in San Antonio, and he was there for 
something, and she met him!  I have all their albums, and I also have 17 of 
their bubblegum cards from when my mom was little.  My favorite song is 
Daydream Believer, but I also love Daily Nightly, St. Matthew, What Am I 
Doing Hangin' Round, and Star Collector.  My favorite album is Pisces, 
Aquarius, etc...  That album is a superb sample of sixties ear candy..  
That also is cool because it shows a lot of talent that Mike had that no 
one had ever acknowledged.  The Monkees are such an awesome band, and they 
deserve so much more respect than they get.  It's not fair how they fought 
so hard and so long to play their own instruments, and then no one would 
even acknowledge them as a band.  I think Mike is a genius, and Davy is so 
cute.  Even now!! He's such an adorable man!!  I really like the sixties, 
and my other favorite bands are : the Beatles, the Doors, the Dave Clark 
Five, and the Partridge Family ( David Cassidy).  I think that  was such an 
incredible period in time.  I only wish that I had been around when the 
Monkees were popular the first time around.. Then their memorabilia 
wouldn't be so darn expensive.  I only get about ten dollars a week, so I 
have to save up to buy anything.  There's only one cool store around here, 
and it's called Pepperland.  They guy that owns it is really awesome.  He 
has a Monkeemoblie toy, a puzzle of the Monkees, and about ten magazines 
from the sixties that featured the Monkees.  Okay, I know I'm getting off 
track, so I'll close by saying, I LOVE THE MONKEES!  More power to anyone
with enough courage to be a Monkees fan and withstand all the "Beatles 
rip-off" crap.  Anyway, thanks for a totally groovy page!

here.  Yes that's right, as of today, there are exactly 31 days until Davy 
and Mike celebrate their birthdays (in celebration, we must all watch

I think my brother must be more of a 
Monkees fan than I am...this is the second URL he's sent me having to do 
with the guys!  (The first one was the Rhino records home page.)  I have 
all the original vinyl albums as well as a couple of 45's.  My favorite 
episode was also the Monkees v. Machine (my kids walk around saying, 
"Correction - name is not Not-what but Nit-wit.") My favorite 
songs are Shades of Grey and Papa Gene's Blues.  I've never met any of the 
Monkees but my younger son's name is David Jones!  No one believes me when 
I say it was completely unintentional - David just happens to be my 
favorite boys' name and I just happened to marry a man whose last name is 
Jones.  If anyone knows when the shows are going to be on TV again, I sure 
would like to have my VCR at the ready.  My single-mom budget doesn't allow 
membership in those video clubs or the purchase of new music, so I just 
have to imagine what Justus sounds like - thanks for the reviews {:-)

I still remember how The 
Monkees made my seven year old heart skip a beat. My sister and I would 
fight constantly over who was the cutest. Mike has always been my favorite. 
I had an opportunity to see him in Atlanta a couple of years ago but I got 
sick and couldn't go. I hope they come to Atlanta when they tour.

I remember the television program and music 
from when very young and lived in Nashville, TN while father faught in the 
Vietnam war. I escape from my responsibilities now as an adult occasionally 
by listening to your Greatest Hits as I drive my sports car, bicycle on my 
12-speed, run 5+ miles.  I enjoyed your concert in Nashville several years

JUSTUS rules!!

 I am the Editor 
of Pontiac Enthusiast Magazine and I wanted to let you Monkees fans out 
there that I am writing a story on the Monkeemobile for our next issue. As 
you probably already know, there were two cars built out of 1966 Pontiac 
GTO convertibles. One is owned by auto customizer George Barris in 
California and one is owned by a gentleman in New Jersey. This car just 
returned from several years in Puerto Rico and is in beautiful condition. 

I have already spoken to people at Pontiac and have copies of the car's 
original invoice. There are still a lot of Monkees fans there (they're a 
pretty cool bunch). I have also spoken with the former promotions director 
from Pontiac's advertising agency, as he is a columnist for our magazine 
now. He had a lot of inside information  on how the cars came to be and 
also how they developed the successful Kellogg's Rice Krispies sweepstakes 
promotion (any of you still have your Monkees records from the back of the 
cereal boxes?)

I'll keep you folks posted on how everything goes. This story will be out 
around Christmas and if any of you would like more information, please feel

I love my VCR, 
the best way to enjoy the Monkee's is the show (although the CD's are 
great), and with my VCR I can watch whenever.  (If I had this power when I 
was young I would never have gotten my homework done!!).

Davy Jones was one of the cutest guys I've ever seen!  Too bad 
I wasn't born yet when the group came out; I would of died if I saw him in 
person! I'm only 18, but I love the Monkees.  They had great songs - 
Daydream Believer and Star Collector were some of my favorites, and they're 
shows were great too - I collected 6 of their videotapes so far, and 
they're fabulous.  Davy was just so adorable that I couldn't stop watching 
them until 2:00 in the morning!  Anyway, the Monkees rule!!

Kiaora. The Beatles, The Monkees, The Banana Splits, other 
bands in various guises have copied and parodied the lads from Liverpool on 
shows such as: Get Smart, Bewitched! and other 60's Sicoms I can't bloody 
remember right now. Then there was the Rutles. (Monty Python team I think).

are really say that they were great!!!  I have been a fan since I was in my 
teens and am glad to be able to see a real concert for a change!!  I would

Hey Hey Monkee Fans! Just wanted to let you all know I perform in a 
theatre group with a man named Bill Fernandez.  He used to drum for the
Dolenz, Jones, Boyce and Hart tour.  He's told some great stories about 
Mickey and Davy.  To bad he never met Mike.  He's still the best
Monkee!

great  page!  where  did  you  find  that  rendition of  the  theam 
song?  It's  great!  I'm  a  DJ  for  a  college  radio station,  and  
recentaly  found and  picked  up  JUSTUS,  I  intend  to  open  it  up  and  
play  it  for  the  first  time  on the  air  tonight  so  all  those  
listening  can  enjoy  it's  primere. I  found  it after  attending  their  
saturdaynight  concert  at the  Tropicanna  on the  29th  in Vegas.  the  
show  was  expencive(especialy  compaired  to  the  one  I  saw  in  
Saltlake  about  10  years  ago...about$15vs.$45),  but  worth  it.  I  
only  regret  the  suroundings  wern't  more  condutive  to  the  party  
experiance  that  a  concert  should  be  to  the  fans.

     The  monkees  clean  happy  music  is  such  a  refereshing  change  
from  the  dark  gritty  garbage  that  tends  to  be  popular  today,  and  
am  looking  foward  to  the  next  album.  

Love the group, but I am upset about 
something said in last week's Entertainment Weekly about the group.  From 
what I have seen in past issues EW doesn't really care for the Monkees,and 
in last weeks issue they made a crack about now that the group is back 
maybe they can get the people who USED to play their instruments back

It's great to have the Monkees 
back and it is due time for them to receive Justice with Justus.  I have 
been a big fan all of my life and as we are both celebrating 30 years, I 
wish you the best.  I had a dream come true in meeting all four Monkees,

I went to see the 
Monkees twice, in '87 and '96. The first time I got two inches away from 
Davy while sitting on my father's shoulders. I begged him to drop me but he 
wouldn't. Oh, well maybe next time!

Monkees fans!!!!  This is my first time being in here. I feel like I stick 
out. Well I'm only 14 years old. But I feel so happy that I can to talk 
about the Monkees. I loved them ever since I was in 1st grade. When they 
took the show off the air, I forgot about them. well my favorite monkee is

fans!!!! I love the Monkees especially MIKE!!!!! By the Way, I'm 14 years 
old. I have almost all of their albums, episodes, and I also have Micky's 
book I'm a Believer. I love that book. GREAT JOB MICKY!!!! I love all of 
their songs espcially Mike songs. I didn't go to any concert so i didn't 
get to see or touch any of them. I love all of the episods. I know all the 
lines by heart. My parents and some of my friends are sick and tired of 
listening to me talking about them. I used to watch so tapes I have of them 
every day last sommer. Well gotta go. Monkee be with you all!!!!! AND MIKE

    This is my own personal message 
to all the negative JUSTUS reviews in relation to what Mike said about 
them. I am glad that JUSTUS was not an attempt to make Monkees music like 
in the 60s. To those that were expecting to relive old Monkee memories 
through new Monkees Music, I am sorry, but The Monkees are not still living 
in the past. This is an album of Monkees songs all written, produced, and 
played by only them. The fact that they did not try a LAST TRAIN TO 
CLARKSVILLE PT. 2 is a relief. No matter how "New Age" their new 
stuff sounds, it is still The Monkees and I like it. I accept it as part of 
the whole Monkees experience. Any true Monkee fan would. I love all of 
their music and their tv show.

I'm only 16 but I've been a Monkees fan since I was 6.  I used to watch all 
the reruns on TV every day.  I also had my dad's records and tapes and my 
best friend and I played them all the time.  In August we saw them in 
concert as part of their 30 year reunion tour and it was awesome!

   I have seen 
on television where fans cry and pass out when they saw Elvis live in 
concert or even Michael Jackson back when he was popular for his music and 
not his hobbies. I thought they just wanted to be seen on camera so they 
would pass out to get attention. I would like to say that when I was at the 
Monkees concert in July 1996, I too cried and passed out when they first 
came on stage! I got two of their albums for my third birthday and I have 
loved them ever since. I am almost nineteen. I guess when you love 
something for that amount of time and then finally get to see it (or 
them)face to face, it is incredibly emotional! Because I have only had one 
chance to see them live I can only pray to be lucky enough to have them 
come back to the Dayton area of Ohio (or Columbus or Cincinnatti) so I can 
see them again. PLEASE KEEP SINGING

July 4th was fantastic! I was in the second row and sang along with every

Been a fan since 
1966. Would like to know why Monkees stopped using Grtech Guitars? I am a 
professional musician who misses when music was fun and not subject to 
censorship due to lyric content. The Monkees were one of the last groups of 
an era that shall sadly never pass this way again.
